"Your mind is 10% concious and 90% subconscious"
Hypnotherapy
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is an entirely natural state. You may not realise this but it’s a state that we often go in and out of several times every day. In simple terms it’s a deep state of concentration.
An example of an everyday hypnotic trance might be:
Reading a book
You might have had the experience of reading a book and getting really engrossed in the story line, that you start using your imagination to set the scene and the more you become involved in your imagination the less you become aware of your immediate surroundings, perhaps there is a TV or radio in the background that you don’t hear any more or even someone asking you something and you don’t hear them or you lose track of time.
Driving a car
Another example is driving a car on a routine journey that you know well before and you get to the other side and your realise that you have been so engrossed in your thoughts that there are chunks of your journey that you don’t even remember
How does hypnotherapy work?
Well, hypnosis uses the part of the mind called the subconscious. Our subconscious is responsible for our beliefs, habits and behaviours. Throughout the session the hypnotherapist induce that same state as the examples your subconscious, by inducing a state of relaxation the therapist is able to administer positive suggestions using specific language patterns to change your beliefs, change your habits and change your behaviour to the desired outcome that your proposed visit is for.
